Medical Certificate Application Fee
Welcome to the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) of New Zealand's online payment website.
Thank you for opting to pre-pay your medical certification application fee online. Please be advised that this fee is not refundable and once the transaction has been accepted, you will not be able to cancel your pre-payment. If you do not wish to proceed with the online option, you can post your payment to the CAA. Click here to download the Application for a Medical Certification Form.
As a reminder, the CAA undertook a funding review as part of its programme. The programme was established to ensure its long term ability to achieve safety objectives, apply good business practice and financial management. It is also a driver to address changes in aviation. On successful completion of your transaction, you will receive a confirmation receipt to your nominated email address. The receipt number needs to be quoted to your Medical Examiner at the time of booking your appointment.
You will have the option of identifying and selecting a CAA Medical Examiner; however, this is not mandatory. A list can be found on the Medical Certification site, click here. If you select a Medical Examiner as part of this transaction, we will email a copy of your transaction to that Medical Examiner.
There are some basic details we need to process your transaction such as your name, email address and preferred payment option. More details can be found on the right hand side of this screen.
If you are resident outside of New Zealand (i.e. you are a non-resident for New Zealand tax purposes) then GST will be excluded from the medical fee. Click here for more information.
